The End of Slavery

the battle for justice in our time

What is a house party?

A house party is a small, informal gathering where you can bring together friends, family, colleagues, classmates, church members or anyone else in your life to learn about and engage in an issue that you care about.

House parties are a great way to introduce people you know to the issue of modern-day slavery and involve them in action to make change. In fact, this is how all movements begin — small groups of committed individuals come together with a common vision for what the world should look like – and act on it.

House parties can also be a lot of fun! Get started by ordering a house party planning kit and registering your party. The kit has all the information you need to plan your event, from a sample schedule to discussion questions. You can access even more tools and resources on this site.

You can also work with your school, church, campus or community organization to host a larger group screening – the kit will serve the needs of both a house party and a larger event.

As you start planning your house party event, please consider scheduling it for November 14, to participate in the nationwide Weekend to End Slavery!
